Designing for Good: Our Journey Toward Sustainability in the Candle Industry

As a candle company, our journey has been shaped by the importance of self-care. Candle-making and lighting have become a cornerstone of our self-care routine, serving as the starting point for our self-care journey. We believe that life moves pretty fast, and if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Because we believe in the power of self-care, we have made it our mission to encourage others to prioritize their well-being. To help in this pursuit, we have crafted a weekly self-care ritual called, 5 P.M. on Sundays, that incorporates candles as a key element.

We know that being productive is important, but it shouldn't come at a cost to our mental and physical health. That's why we're committed to creating a culture that emphasizes the importance of taking care of ourselves.

Our journey has also been shaped by our commitment to designing for good. We understand that the retail industry has traditionally prioritized quantity over quality, resulting in adverse effects on both our health and the environment. For this reason, we are committed to creating products that are sustainable, ethical, and beneficial to all. As a conscious company, we have transitioned away from making colored candles and now exclusively use soy wax and high-quality organic essential oils for our candles. Additionally, we have implemented eco-friendly packaging that is fully recyclable, further reducing our environmental impact.

We started 5 P.M. on Sundays to make a change, whether it's an impact on the self, a way of living, or the larger world. We care about people and the planet, and we're committed to making changes, however small. As a candle company, we believe that well-being has an effect on everyone's lives and we want to make a positive impact in the world.
